Frequently Asked Questions

Clear, medically accurate answers about diagnostic imaging, preparation, safety, and turnaround in Hisar.

MRI Scan Questions

No. MRI uses strong magnetic fields and harmless radiofrequency pulses to visualize internal tissue. It involves zero harmful X-ray ionizing radiation. You simply lie comfortably on the padded table while the machine takes slices.
The knocking sounds are created by internal gradient electrical coils switching on and off rapidly to create spatial magnetic field gradients. We provide comfortable noise-cancelling acoustic headphones with pleasant music to ensure your comfort.
Yes! As long as the attendant is screened and has no cardiac pacemaker or metal implants, they are welcome to sit in the scan room right next to the scanner, holding your hand or foot to keep you completely reassured.

CT & PET-CT Questions

CT uses low-dose X-ray beams and scans in just 5 to 10 seconds; it is outstanding for bone fractures, lung infections (HRCT), and acute trauma bleeding. MRI uses magnetic fields and radio waves, taking 15 to 20 minutes, and provides unmatched resolution for soft tissues, spinal nerves, brain parenchyma, and joint cartilage.
PET-CT uses an 18F-FDG glucose analogue tracer. If blood glucose is elevated from food, normal body cells compete with tumor cells for the tracer, reducing the scan sensitivity. Fasting for 6 hours ensures low baseline glucose and maximum diagnostic clarity.
